Usb Debugging Windows 7

Symptoms

(The Google USB Driver is located in androidsdk extras google usbdriver.) Click Next to install the driver. Or, to upgrade an existing Android USB driver on Windows 7 and higher with the new driver: Connect your Android device to your computer's USB port. Right-click on Computer from your desktop or Windows Explorer, and select Manage. After enabling USB debugging on your device, you can successfully connect your Android to PC. Phone manager, not only allows you to do USB debugging, but also allows you to transfer photos and videos from Samsung to PC. If you are curious, you can download the free trail version from below and have a try. The Bottom Line. In the above article.

USB devices attached to the same hub are very slow or completely unresponsive.

Cause

While multiple devices that are attached to the same hub are going into selective suspend, one of the devices on the hub can receive a wake request. If this happens before the suspend request has completed, the devices become unstable.

Workaround

Try these methods to work around this problem.

Method 1 Disable and enable the USB root hub

Use Device Manager to disable and re-enable the USB root. This lets the controllers recover the USB port from its unresponsive condition.
To disable and re-enable the USB root, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. In the Open box, type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.

  3. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

Note You might have to scroll down the list to find this item.

  4. Right-click the affected USB Root Hub, and then click Uninstall to remove it.

  5. Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB root hubs that you uninstalled.

After the computer restarts, check whether the problem is resolved. If this method resolved the problem, you are finished. If this method did not resolve the problem, go to Method 2.

Method 2 Restart the computer

Try restarting the computer. After the computer has restarted, check whether the problem is resolved.
If restarting the computer resolved the problem, you are finished. If this method did not resolve the problem, go to Method 3.

Method 3 Disable Selective Suspend feature

If the first two methods did not work for you, you can disable the Selective Suspend feature. However, be aware that when the Selective Suspend feature is disabled, all USB host controller drivers (and therefore all USB ports and connected USB devices) in the system are affected. Therefore, your computer cannot suspend any USB devices that are connected to it, and the USB devices can continue to use power while connected to the computer. Additionally, the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box does not appear on the Power Management tab for the USB root hub.
You can disable the USB Selective Suspend feature by editing the registry. The USB device may become unresponsive because of a race condition in the Selective Suspend feature. The Selective Suspend feature suspends the USB device to efficiently maintain battery power by enabling the computer to turn off the USB device. However, sometimes this feature may not correctly wake up the USB device. Therefore, the USB device is unresponsive when you try to use it.
You might want to disable this feature for server products where power management is not important or required.
Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

322756 How to back up and restore the registry in WindowsTo disable the Selective Suspend feature, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type regedit, and then click OK. Registry Editor opens.

  3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesUSB

  4. If the DisableSelectiveSuspend registry entry is present, double-click it. If it is not present, create the entry. To create the entry, follow these steps:

    1. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD.

    2. Type DisableSelectiveSuspend, and then press ENTER.

    3. On the Edit menu, click Modify.

  5. In the Value data field, type 1 to disable the Selective Suspend feature, and then click OK.

  6. Exit Registry Editor.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the USB subsystem on Windows XP SP2 and SP3.

I have had this phone since April and it has been pretty disappointing overall with the whole not upgrading to Android 2.1 and such, but that's not the issue right now. It works perfectly fine one my desktop which is an XP, but I wont be able to use the desktop because I will be leaving for college soon.

HTC Incredible :: Universal Windows USB Drivers - ADB - BootLoader -Disk Drive - HTC Sync

Sep 10, 2010

Monitoring the traffic on the unrEVOked IRC channel, it's clear that there is a ton of confusion about the USB drivers needed, despite the excellent article on the unrEVOked site. I thought I'd maybe add to that or create an alternative article.
There are three different modes in which the Incredible (or the EVO!) can connect to a Windows system:
Disk Drive
ADB (USB Debugging and ClockworkMod Recovery)
BootLoader (while phone is in the HBOOT mode)
The drivers that come with the Android SDK can't do any of it because none of the interfaces for the Incredible are present in the .INF file. The drivers that come with HTC Sync can do #1 and #2, but cannot be used for rooting with unrEVOked because they don't support #3. The following link points to drivers which are universal; they will work for all three purposes on the Incredible (and the EVO as well).
unrEVOked modified USB Driver
You do not have to remove HTC Sync if you have it installed. These drivers will replace the ones that came from HTC Sync and be usable for that as well as rooting. The trick is getting these drivers to replace the ones you have from the Android SDK or HTC Sync or ??? (or simply installing them if you have no drivers yet). The idea is to plug your phone into USB while it's in HBOOT mode, forcing Windows to look for Bootloader drivers. Only the ones here provide that.
Anyway, here's how:
Uninstall HTC Sync, DoubleTwist, and DropBox from the PC. Sorry about this. Once these drivers are installed you may reinstall those and they will continue to work. These drivers are universal.
Unzip the file, leaving the folder Android USB Driver somewhere like on your desktop
Unplug your phone from USB
Power down your phone
Now simultaneously press the volume DOWN button and the power button, holding till the HBOOT screen appears
Now connect the USB cable between the phone and your PC
The word HBOOT (blue box with white letters) will change to HBOOT USB PLUG
On the EVO, wait till HBOOT cycles through an SD check (10 sec) then select select HBOOT USB at the bottom of the menu (using the vol keys to navigate and power button to select). Thanks to hperry for this.
Now look at your Windows Device Manager and see if you already have Android Phone listed for HBOOT as shown in one of the last two images (way) below. To see the Device Manager, right click My Computer, select Manage..., select the Device Manager. If you see the Android Phone, you're ready to root and can skip the rest of this. Otherwise, you do not have HBOOT-capable drivers, and you need to install them. Windows should be looking for drivers now. At this point things may differ between XP and Vista/7.
In XP, the New Hardware Found Wizard should appear. Tell it NOT to use Windows Update, and moving along, tell it to look in a specified location. It will pop up a file open dialog. Navigate to the Android USB Driver folder, click OK then click Next.
For Windows Vista/7 you might not see the New Hardware Found Wizard. Open the Device Manager (Right click My Computer, select Manage..., select the Device Manager). You will see an Android Phone node in the tree with a 'caution' icon node beneath it. Right click on the caution-marked node and select Update Driver. Follow through specifying NOT to look in Windows Updatte and Install from a specified location. It will pop up a file open dialog. Navigate to the Android USB Driver folder, click OK, then click Next.
In either case, eventually the driver should install. At this point you have the universal drivers installed for the Incredible. They can also be used with the HTC EVO. Here's what you should see in the Windows Device Manager for each condition:
Phone Running Normally, USB Debugging Enabled, plugged in via USB:
Windows 7
Windows XP
Phone running HBOOT, plugged in via USB:
Phone showing HBOOT
Windows 7
Windows XP

General :: Installation Of USB Drivers Don't Works

May 15, 2014

I take the CyanogenMod 10.3 for my Alcatel OT995, it works fine on my device, but I can't use adb command line neither other features using adb.exe ! I can only access to storage mass device, so I think I have a problem with the USB drivers which connect ADB command to my phone. I can add that before I've installed this Rom on the device, I've installed many drivers on the PC :
Firstly I installed the owner's driver provided by Alcatel in the AlcatelAndroidManager.exe package,
secondly I installed the Google USB drivers provided because I'm using Android Virtual Devices (AVD Manager) to do some developping works. I used to launch adb with 'adb start-server' so it's still working, I don't obtain any device in the list with 'adb devices', why don't I get it ?
I've realized some cleaning actions : I uninstalled the USB drivers of Alcatel's software, I uninstall the Google USB driver , to finish I reboot the PC but it don't changed anything I tried to apply this (well explained) post without any success :URL.... I can't find 'Android devices' category, neither 'Usb Adb' entry... so my device is not recognized in the 'Settings Panel'. However the storage mass device appears as a volume named '
